Je vindt The Ranch naast het Visitor Center van Death Valley. Een plek dat tijdens de Gold Rush enorm groeide en waardoor er nu nog hotels, motels en camperplaatsen zijn. Dan kan Ridgecrest een optie zijn om te overnachten aangezien de afstand vaak net te groot is om in 1 dag te overbruggen. De bergen van de Sierra Nevada vormen een natuurlijke barri\u00e8re voor het doorkruizen, waardoor je onderdoor moet naar Death Valley. Ridgecrest kan daarom een goede keuze zijn om te verblijven.
