en een indrukwekkende hoeveelheid wilde dieren. In de spectaculaire <em><strong>Sawtooth National Recreation Area<\/strong><\/em> leven elanden, zwarte beren, dikhoornschapen en zelfs wolven tussen meer dan tweehonderd bergmeren en grillige bergpieken. Helemaal anders is <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heyusa.com\/nl\/craters-of-the-moon-het-wonder-van-idaho\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, een buitenaards landschap van oude lavavelden en vulkanische kegels. Hier draait het vooral om de bijzondere geologie: door het droge en ruige terrein zijn er minder wilde dieren in het gebied te vinden.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Hell&#8217;s Canyon National Recreation Area<\/strong><\/em>, is de diepste rivierkloof van Noord-Amerika en een avontuurlijke plek voor een spectaculaire speedboattocht over de Snake River. Uiteindelijk transformeert het naar een woeste rivier.
