tegenkomen, maar hoe verder van de stad af, hoe leger de wegen en de dorpen gaan zijn. Zorg ervoor dat je op tijd tankt en voldoende eten en drinken meeneemt. Sowieso gaan beiden in de nationale parken duurder zijn dan in de dorpen die je onderweg tegenkomt. Maar natuurlijk kun je ook langer blijven als je wilt. Na ruim 400 kilometer vanuit Las Vegas is 1 overnachting in ieder geval een must. En zo kun je op de eerste dag nog een korte wandeling mee pakken en uiteindelijk de zon zien opkomen de volgende ochtend bij Sunrise Point. Kamperen kan op twee verschillende campgrounds in het park: North Campground en Sunset Campground.
